Withdrawal instructions

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from an eligible contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the contract is concluded.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by means of a clear statement. You may use the electronic withdrawal function, email or post. You may use the model wording below, but it is not mandatory.

To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your withdrawal communication before the withdrawal period expires.

After withdrawal

Effects of withdrawal

If you validly withdraw from the contract, we will reimburse payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after the day on which we receive your withdrawal statement.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, reimbursement will use the same means of payment used for the original transaction. You will not incur separate reimbursement fees.

OTF certification

Request for immediate performance

An OTF certification is designed as a one-time digital service that is performed immediately: the selected provider process is evaluated, cryptographic proofs are created, a blockchain record may be submitted and the completed ROCKVALID PDF is generated.

If you want ROCKVALID to begin this paid service before the fourteen-day withdrawal period has expired, you may be asked to expressly request immediate performance and confirm that you know your right of withdrawal will expire when ROCKVALID has fully performed the service.

For a paid service, the right of withdrawal does not expire merely because performance has started. Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, it expires when the service has been fully performed after your prior express request and acknowledgement.

Suggested checkout acknowledgement:
“I expressly request that ROCKVALID begin the OTF certification service before the end of the withdrawal period. I acknowledge that my right of withdrawal will expire when ROCKVALID has fully performed the service.”

If you withdraw after expressly requesting performance to begin during the withdrawal period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for services already performed up to the time of withdrawal, provided the statutory requirements for compensation are met.

Technical consequence

Public blockchain records cannot simply be removed

Once a cryptographic proof has been submitted to a public blockchain, ROCKVALID generally cannot reverse, delete or technically recall that blockchain transaction.

This technical immutability does not remove any statutory consumer rights. It means that a later withdrawal cannot erase a proof that has already been permanently recorded on the public network.

Review the selected PDF, the recorded name, the displayed service and the payment details carefully before requesting immediate performance.
